Last spring, I wrote a blog titled “Summer Jobs,” where I gave some options of jobs that were available to gain some extra cash during the summer.
With school in full swing, some of you may be looking for a more permanent part-time job or even looking for a seasonal job during the holidays. Below are some ideas for jobs that may be able to accommodate your crazy school and social life schedules.
Many department stores are exceptionally busy during the holiday season. For that reason, most stores look for extra helpers before Thanksgiving through the end of the year. They are many times flexible with their schedules, since a lot of their seasonal employees are in high school or college.
For some department store openings, check out the seasonal position on Indeed.
Yep, it’s that time of year again where the snow will start flying. Many places need a dependable person to help remove snow at area businesses. Often times, these jobs need to be completed early in the morning, which may give enough time to get the snow removal in before heading off to school.
If you love animals, this could be right up your alley. Shelters sometimes look for paid employees, but most often they are looking for non-paid volunteers. Either way, you can build your résumé by helping out some furry friends.
There are a lot of jobs available, you just need to know where to look. One useful resource is TeenJobs.Xyz. You’ll be able to find local jobs with teens in mind.
Happy job hunting!
